Protect Treated Teeth with Porcelain Crowns

Dental crowns prevent the spread of cavities and restore damage done to the tooth. Crowns restore both form and function to cavity-ridden or otherwise worn teeth. Crowns can be made from many materials, but our office prefers porcelain.

We prefer porcelain crowns for a multitude of reasons. The material is natural-looking and custom shade-matched for a uniform smile. Porcelain is also durable enough to last for many years.

Although we prefer non-metal crowns, we offer amalgam or gold crowns at the patient’s request. These materials are best suited for the back teeth because they do not blend in with the natural tooth appearance.  After a crown is placed, Dr. Lee can perform a gum lengthening procedure to ensure an even gum line.

Quality Periodontal Care

Periodontal disease can create pockets where bacteria collect and multiply. We perform pocket reductions to keep your teeth fitting securely in your gums. A pocket reduction entails a scaling and root planing procedure, followed by the reattachment of the gum tissue.

If natural wear or disease has caused the gum line to recede, we offer gum grafting to alleviate the concern. The procedure is comfortable under local anesthesia and allowing for efficient healing.
